When is a Scotsman Scottish, not a Brit?
That’s simple, William Burke and William Hare
Were Scotsmen and not British...not one bit!
But Robert Burns and James Watt were, I swear.
When is an Englishman a Brit instead?
You’d call Shakespeare an Englishman, and true.
As all great Englishmen, alive and dead.
But when it comes to bad guys, Brit will do.
[Burke and Hare were actually Irishmen, but poetic licence!]
