This clip is my very favourite short interview of all time. Elizabeth Loftus is the world’s leading authority on false memories. A professor of law as well as a professor of psychology, she sums up in a nutshell the problem of false memories. I often wonder how many innocent men and not a few innocent women are sitting in gaol at this very moment because some deranged or simply mistaken individual has given passionate, honest but false testimony in a court case, particularly of an historical nature.
