Did you know
The hooded crow,
The carrion and raven
The rook and more:
Magpie, jackdaw
In Britain all find haven?
But none of these is quite as gay
As our bright, little friend the jay.
That’s fair enough,
But what about the chough?
[For the benefit of future generations, before the word gay was hijacked by the homosexual lobby, it meant bright or happy.]
