1. You shall have no other Gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy.
5. Honour your father and mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet.
* The above were obviously not delivered in English. Leaving that aside, the wording varies from Bible to Bible and from website to website; for one thing, the words thou and thy are generally considered antiquated. I seem to remember also something about not coveting thy neighbour’s ox. Whatever, here is some very slightly alternative wording from the 1956 epic The Ten Commandments.
