* Also known as the 4 Great Sinners of the Underworld, the best known is Sisyphus who for betraying Zeus was ordered to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity. Ixion was the King of the Lapiths; his crimes include murder and going mad. Tantalus may have been based on a real person. Tityus (or Tityos) was a son of Zeus and the father of Europa.
