The 5 Points Of Calvinism

1. Total depravity
2. Unconditional elation
3. Limited atonement
4. Irresistable grace
5. Perseverance of faith

* Calvinism is also known as Reformed Christianity; it was founded by John Calvin (1509-64). Apparently he didn’t like the idea of this branch of Protestantism being named after his good self.

The 5 points are enumerated in this order because their initial letters spell out the acronym TULIP; as Calvin was a Frenchman, it is unlikely he came up with it. In French it would be rendered TILIP.
