4. Bathsheba (wife of King David)
5. Mary (wife of Saint Joseph)
* Mary is the Virgin Mary. Rahab was a harlot, not my idea of a distinguished woman! The above genealogy is taken from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter I.
All these women with the exception of Mary (the mother of Jesus) were Gentiles. A female ancestor is an ancestress, but the plural doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
