Poker In September

The following twenty screengrabs are all from low limit tournaments played September 2012. All but one are from PokerStars, and most of these are no limit hold ’em The first four are from September 17; the next eleven from September 25; the final five from September 26. The pictures themselves are annotated.

As far as possible they are in chronological order; certainly they are dated correctly; I think the third set is made up of grabs from two different tournaments. The site was running four of these special freerolls a day at that time.

September 17, 2012: I scooped this hand, but it did me no good.

September 17, 2012: Titan Poker, this full house saw me on the way to finish 7th winning $9.45.

September 17, 2012: A lovely river for AQ. If this is from the evening freeroll, I finished 875th of 21,027 runners winning 67 cents. If it is from the afternoon one, I came nowhere.

September 17, 2012: Busted out with aces.

September 25, 2012: Another magic river, and the best starting hand wins.

September 25, 2012: The dominated hand wins with a magic river.

September 25, 2012: Justice is served with a magic river, or was it? I have a feeling I folded my hand!

September 25, 2012: Moronic play is rewarded as it so often is at this game. The big stack flops the second best flush with a gutshot to a straight flush, and a hand no half-decent player would play in the small blind houses up on the turn.

September 25, 2012: Aces hold up against pocket 10s and garbage.

September 25, 2012: The big flush beats the garbage flush.

September 25, 2012: Magic runner runner.

September 25, 2012: House of 7s.

September 25, 2012: No takers for the set.

September 25, 2012: Pocket 7s hold up.

September 25, 2012: A magic river, but not for our hero.

September 26, 2012: A set on the turn holds up.

September 26, 2012: It’s true, some people can never fold an ace.

September 26, 2012: KJ outdraws pocket 5s; a class fold by our hero with the pocket 7s.

September 26, 2012: Pocket jacks hold up.

September 26, 2012: Pocket 10s improve to a straight.
