Echoes Of Spain

Reverberations down the corridors of time,
Footprints in the sand
On the shores of a foreign land,
And lost betwixt the rhyme
And the neurons of your brain
The echoing of Spain.
Again.
And ever shall remain.

Faded photographs and pleasant memories,
A sunkissed Latin face,
A fruitful Summer chase,
And hidden by the smile
That lingers on a while,
The emptiness and pain.
And echoing of Spain.
Again. Again.
And ever shall remain.

Another decade lost, abandoned without hope,
Good things now in the past,
As long as life shall last,
Too late now for apologies,
A guilty look, you see there is
A trace of hurt and strain,
And hear within your brain
The echoing of Spain,
Again. Again. Again.
And ever shall remain.
