April 26, 1989: The above article appears on page 3 of the London Times; it garners little attention.
The stepfather of three children was cleared of several charges, including rape. His wife who had been charged with several offences as well, was also cleared. The offences were alleged to have been committed in June 1987. The uncredited author gives the impression that the trial was halted on a technicality, something he called a legal blunder, but in the last paragraph it is reported that one of the girls had been examined by a doctor the day after she had allegedly been raped, and was found to be A VIRGIN. Some technicality.
