I have included the above to illustrate how David Webb dealt with press mailings at this time; it appears to have been made out on both sides of the paper. Nowadays of course it’s all done by e-mail. At this time, desktop computers were far both less powerful than they are today and an expensive rarity. I suspect that most campaigning organisations, clubs, small businesses, etc, dealt with their mailing lists in similar fashion.
