The Ultimate Conundrum

I cannot be defined by mortal man,
All he can ever do is measure me,
I’ve been around since everything began,
And I’ll exist for all eternity.
I move, but only in the one direction:
Onward, although for all I’m not the same,
The rate at which I move is a reflection
Of relative observers in the frame.
I am the arbiter of all: the Master!
However strong your challenge, you can’t win;
You’ll find as you grow older I run faster,
The moments and the seasons seem to spin.
You’ll win no prize for working out my name,
But if you waste a minute of me: shame.
