Don’t litter
You critter:
Pollution’s a sin,
Put your rubbish in the bin:
Be a Friend of the Earth,
(Not a fiend of the Earth).
Why slay the whale,
Cruelty to no avail?
This gentle giant does no harm to Man;
He feeds on krill,
Does that warrant his kill?
Be a Friend of the Earth,
(Not a fiend of the Earth).
Why mine coal when a windmill will suffice?
Why burn oil when a river runs to sea?
Clean energy, both plentiful and free!
Be a Friend of the Earth,
(Not a fiend of the Earth).
Put aside your greed,
Put aside your materialism,
Your false “progress has a price” theology,
Your fawning at the feet of Mammon,
Your utter folly.
Put aside all this insignificance
While you can,
While there’s time,
While it’s still only four minutes to midnight...
And be a Friend (not a fiend) of the Earth.
