This shocking incident happened at Accrington, Lancashire, on April 17, 2020, during the covid-19 lockdowns. The victim was Adam Kidger; the thug in uniform was not named, but three days later he was suspended, and in May 2021, faced a misconduct hearing. He received a written warning. Surprisingly, some people defended him, calling Mr Kidger (and people like him) scum. More tellingly though was the comment at the end of the video – you can film all you want. This incident begs the question, how many people the world over were railroaded by corrupt or simply ignorant police before the advent of smartphones?
