The correspondence below is self-explanatory. I was somewhat disappointed to realise that I was only one of numerous anti-Semites – real and imagined (in my case) – who had been so mailed. The e-mails have been reproduced faithfully; the only alterations I have made are the substitutions of smart quotes for regular, and ordinary brackets ( ) for < > in the address lines for technical reasons - text inside the latter does not show up in HTML, at least not at my level of non-expertise.
