One day in November 1994, while researching in the North Library Gallery of the British Library (then at Bloomsbury), I was reading this pamphlet when I thought I recognised a passage quoted therein. I did indeed, because it was written by me! Me being me, I could not resist publishing a refutation, which I mailed out to Paul Boateng and others shortly. The version here was downloaded from the website of the Runnymede Trust. When I revisited the site on April 18, 2024, it had been deleted, although the page has been archived through the Wayback Machine. Unlike the hard copy, the scanned version has a blank front cover, but the illustrations have been included. Page 64 was blank, so I have removed that.
