‘An Invitation To Murder Daphne Liddle’

If I recall, I received the letter below in 1997 shortly after my acquittal. I have an idea who wrote it, but I could be wrong, so will say no more than that. The telephone number given in the final paragraph was the work number of that nice Mr Hancock. When I told him about this letter he asked me to forward it to him, which I did. Later, he told he he had in turn forwarded it to the police.

The information given about Daphne Liddle is not true; it was Gable who made that particular false allegation against me, and no one else. After speaking to Tony Hancock about it the second time, I heard no more.
