I have not scanned all such photographs here but have included all those I consider relevant. As far as possible they are in chronological order, but this can only be approximate for the majority of them. The provenance of many of them is uncertain to a degree; those that are have been marked with an asterisk. For example, I am informed that * this was taken at a wedding in Luton circa 1990; the woman with him is his elderly mother. [I was later informed that this particular photograph was actually taken on October 14, 1989.]
A photograph captioned with the qualifier “apparent” means precisely that. Many of the photos on this site have the date and/or location on their backs, but sometimes either or both are unclear, due to the quality of the handwriting or smudging or both. Also, some photographs that are not captioned appear to belong to the same batch as one or more that are, so I have applied common sense to dating and locating them. Please bear this in mind; please bear in mind also that I am not responsible for any that may have been misdated and/or miscaptioned in any way because I have no way of confirming the provenance of any particular photograph, even if in the grand scheme of things none of this is of the slightest importance.
The mother of David Webb? – “Me in my youth.”
The above photograph was received, scanned and published here July 15, 2013. It is one taken from what is (hopefully) the last box of photographs I will have to process. This is a postcard, and curiously, there is a printed misspelling on the back as can be seen under the address. This may help to date it at some future time. The aforementioned box appears to have been the property of David Webb’s mother; its contents are all family photographs, including duplicates of a few I had scanned already from the man’s personal collection. David Webb’s mother died in 1992, and presumably she left him this box, which had probably not been opened since it came into his possession.
The box included two envelopes. The first of these – plain and sealed – contained photographs of 4 abstract paintings (Abstracts 1-4), which were almost certainly painted by David Webb. The second envelope – posted June 4 1975 to him at his then address of 15 Sloane Court West – contained photographs from The Spotlight Guide. These two small collections are obviously separate, and were probably put in the box by David Webb at some point.
Pamela Audrey Webb was the older sister and only sibling of David Webb; she died Pamela Pikesley on June 3, 2015 at the age of 85. Shortly, Goodman put me in touch with a close friend of hers, who has now put accurate captions to many of the photographs herein, some of which were far from accurate.

Alec
The photos above and immediately below are among the oldest in this collection. They are of Alec, who was the father of David Webb. I cannot date them but I would have thought at the very least they were taken sometime in the 1920s, ie before the births of his son and daughter.
Alec
Mother and baby – apparently the mother of David Webb with either him or his sister
Baby – if this is a boy, it is probably David Webb; if a girl, it is probably his sister
The sister of David Webb as a baby
The original of the above is captioned Pamela Audrey Webb. It is said to have been taken at about one year old. Comparing it with the following photograph – David Webb as a baby with sister Pamela – I assumed it was miscaptioned, but a cyber-colleague (a mother of 3) said the baby in the first photograph (this one) and the younger baby in the second are not the same child. I sought a further opinion from alt.photography. Here is part of the response:
Given that these are family photos I would trust the captions on the back. I would not describe the girl in #99 as "dark haired". Her hair seems to be more of a natural blonde, a year or so on from #98 where the hair is baby fair & wispy. Also it is tough to make that comparison given different exposure conditions (possibly different cameras) at different times. Then looking at the eyes, they seem to be the same shade of blue. Next the upper lip, particularly on the viewer’s right seems to have a similar curve. I would say it would be fair to identify the girl in #98 & #99 as the same individual at different ages...
Photograph from Mrs Webb
The above outdoor photograph almost certainly predates the birth of David Webb and his sister, ie 1920s. The man appears to be Alec Webb; the others...guess.

Photograph from Mrs Webb
The above three photographs appear to have belonged to the mother of David Webb. Your guess is as good as mine as to when they were taken or where.
Photograph from Mrs Webb
If the young boy in this group of 6 people is David Webb, this photgraph must have been taken around 1934-5; I would presume the woman to his right is his mother, but I cannot identify her husband or even her for certain.
This photograph is captioned from Joan at Christmas – 1930s?
Two women, a girl and a dog, 1930s?
Man and woman, 1930s?
The above is from his mother’s collection; although unconfirmed it is also certainly her and Alec Webb.
David Webb and sister, apparently
Weird photograph
The above is apparently a photograph from the collection of David Webb’s mother. It appears to be of a baby or young child, naked or
semi-naked, but wearing a crown or even a joker’s cap. It is also almost certainly one of the oldest photographs in these collections.
1930s photograph
The above is apparently a photograph from the collection of David Webb’s mother. It is probably from the early 1930s
or possibly a bit earlier. Two of the people appear to be the parents of David Webb.
Unknown girl, possibly his mother, which would date it to the early 1920s?
Unknown couple
If the above are the parents of David Webb, then clearly this must be one of the oldest photographs in the collection. I do not think they are, but this may well be from the 1920s.

This appears to be a young David Webb with his sister, their parents and perhaps an uncle, circa 1934?
This appears to be a young David Webb with his mother and sister, if so, circa 1934?
Photograph from Mrs Webb
If the young boy above is David Webb, this photograph would date to about 1936 or 1937. Presumably the young girl shielding her eyes
is his sister. Did people really sit on a sunny beach fully clothed in those days? The photograph below may have been taken at the same
time. If so that is probably David Webb sitting on his father’s lap; the woman is probably Mrs Webb, and
the girl Pamela. I have no idea who is the other man.
Photograph from Mrs Webb
Apparently David Webb and sister Pamela, if so, circa 1934?
Family under a tree, circa 1935? Apparently David Webb with his sister and parents.

Schoolboy, circa 1938 or 1939? Webb is the boy on your far right.
David Webb and his sister: unconfirmed, circa 1938
David Webb and schoolfriend: 1940
Webb is the boy in shirtsleeves. I found a near identical copy dated 1940 in pencil on the back
in the other box, and a copyright notice from Luton News stamped 18 OCT 1941
David Webb and schoolfriend: 1940
This photograph is a larger photo the one above it, although it appears to be the same, it has more detail, notice the toy bus
and other vehicles in the foreground? This was in an envelope addressed to Lord David Webb from Moonpig.com, and was also
labelled: Strictly not to be opened until 6th March!! The other enclosures were all photographs of David Webb the actor,
including Waters Of The Moon (a 1959 TV play), but for all I know some, all or none of them could have been included in the same envelope.

The above photograph is dated 1942, but does the boy in this photograph look 11 years old to you?

David Webb in group photo, apparently September 1946
The date of the above sounds dubious, it looks more like it was taken during his National Service.
On the beach
The above is apparently a photograph from the collection of David Webb’s mother. This uncaptioned photograph appears to have been taken
on a beach. I would say circa 1947. The three people appear to be the parents of David Webb and another woman.
David Webb with his parents at the wedding of his sister – confirmed.
The above is apparently a photograph from the collection of David Webb’s mother.
Luton Grammar School, 1947
Believe it or not, this and this
and this and this
constitute one photograph. I have scanned over so everyone is included. Don’t ask me how it was taken, nor where is David Webb here.
The Luton Girls Choir
David Webb’s sister sang with the Luton Girls Choir, which I assume this is. I have no idea which if any of these girls is her, nor when this photograph was taken, though it was probably some time in the 1940s at Watford.

David Webb visited New York many times. This first photograph was probably taken sometime in the 1990s, and shows him just before or just after a helicopter flight around the city. All the following photographs were apparently part of the same batch, but I have no way of confirming they were indeed taken at the same time. Obviously the first photograph was not taken by him, but the others probably were.
