Hanbarne Baroque Ensemble At St. Stephen’s Church, Gloucester Road, London SW7
This document needs some explaining; it was one I offered to the British Library but for some reason it was turned down.
It is actually three documents bound as one; rather than separate them and risk damage I have scanned them as one. The layout is as follows:
The ringbinder contains a clear plastic cover front and back, the back of the front page – the title page – is blank; the back of the first page, which begins with the words “Cecila, Saint Patron...”, is also blank. The back of the picture page on pink paper is blank; then there are two smaller 8 page pamphlets followed by the page head “NICOLE LE BON has worked...”, the back of this page is also blank. You can see part of this page, the front, on the scans of the two aforementioned 8 page pamphlets. I could have edited these pages in such a way as to blank this out but decided to show the combined document as it is. The back of the page that shows the picture and begins “Wilhem von Aelst’s picture” is blank. The back of the page that shows the picture of the harpsichord is blank; the back of the blue page that is headed HANBARNE BAROQUE ENSEMBLE is blank. The back of the page that begins “Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706), the accomplished...” is blank; the backs of the following two pages – which contain pictures – are blank; then there is the blank thick paper/card back cover.

The July 24, 1993 issue also appears to have only 12 pages. The back page of the October 16, 1993 issue has been stained, apparently with tea, but the stains haven’t shown up so badly here.

On September 24, 2022, Goodman gave me this envelope. It contained many slips of paper. At first I thought they were all different but on closer inspection there were only three different printings. Goodman told me they were all written by Webb. That may have been the case but although he was a committed atheist and may well have originated the anti-Bible slip, I cannot see him propositioning a woman, even though he appears to have had a girlfriend or two when he was a young man. As far as I know, he never owned a motor vehicle and did not drive. Also, a simple Google search revealed a cartoon/meme with almost the same wording as the parking joke. For the uninitiated, there are certain organisations that leave Bibles in hotel rooms. Moslems appear to do this too. When I visited Tehran in December 2006, I found a copy of the Quran in my hotel room.
(1) a proposition
(2) an insult to an inconsiderate driver
(3) To The Management..

Re the two above, I received the first by e-mail. I picked up the second at the Centre. The first appears to be A5. Or maybe A4, I didn’t bother to print it out.
The second is a small print out, A6 apparently, folded. Not the spelling mistake on the back page: Shool indeed. There is also a missing apostrophe. I stayed for a couple of numbers but I must confess that was as much of Eleanor Meynell as I could take.
I went home to listen to some real music as this was a very special day. Happy birthday, Candice.

As far as I recall, all but two, possibly three of these programmes, were rescued by Mark Taha. All appear to
be of a standard size: 21.6cm by 14.7cm approximately. Where the programme consists of 4 pages, it is made from one piece of paper
folded in half and is scanned here pages 4 (back) and 1 (front), then the inside: pages 2 & 3. Six page programmes are
also made from one sheet of paper, in this case folded twice; the front is easily recognisable. Here, the details of the
play – the cast and scene list – appear on pages 4 & 5, the first 2 pages of the second side, though not necessarily scanned as such.

The above is a folded leaflet, the text on page 2 continues right across to page 3.
Document (2) is as follows: the front cover and page 1; the inside of the front cover is blank so has not been scanned.
These two pages can be found here.
The rest of document (2) can be found here
and here and here.
Documents (3) and (4) can be found in the last of these files, ie here;
they are the second and third pages respectively, the first page being the inside back cover of document (2), the back cover of this being blank
has not been scanned.
Further Appreciations is a one sided leaflet approximate 25.1cm by 18.8cm; the insert note is approximately 12.4cm by 10cm, this is also one sided.
I apologise for the awkward layout, this was caused entirely by the limitations of my software. The scans of the second and third pages of document (3) leave something to be desired, but the alternative was to risk damaging the publication, which I was loathe to do.

No further information, not even an address, but they are crudely photocopied, so were clearly issued by an ordinary member of the public. They were donated to the British Library on October 9, 2014.
